I discovered a park off the hospital grounds a whole week after I arrived. If only I had known about it earlier I would have spent many more thinking hours outside in nature. Max and I decided to bring Bron out for a change of view. The nurses helped us schedule the break-out between med rounds. It was the day before I leave. We spent as much quality time together as possible, playing games, and we were going to settle down to a movie after the walk and just be quiet together. The fatigue and worry was wearing on all of us. Bron's body had different plans. About two hours after the walk, just as evening rounds were beginning, while her meds were being prepared Bronwyn slipped into a 15 min grande mal seizure. Max holding her the whole time reassuring her that all was okay. Her father happened to call at that moment. Timing was not the best. Before we knew it once Bron was back with us, they were transferring her to a new floor where she could be more closely monitored. At the end of the day, the doctors still didn't know what the next move was going to be. The week-end moved slowly and quickly at the same time. A new room, and the sketches were the first thing Bronwyn wanted to have up. They were becoming a comfort to her. | Be Amazing enjoy the little things in life |
