The sketches on Bron's wall she said had attracted so many of the nurses and doctors on the new floor that she never felt alone. Discussions about anything and everything would fill her days. The barriers of medical distance had been diffused unwittingly. But it was noticed and appreciated. There was a new key to unlock those doors. Bronwyn finally got home 10 days after surgery, after many trials to find the feeding rates that she could tolerate. They are very minimal for survival. We thought with any luck she would be able to increase the volume pumped in by her now trusty Joey Kanagroo feeding pump. Home care nursing began as soon as she arrived home. With many adjustments we almost thought we were making headway. Unfortunately it has not been working out as well as we all had hoped. Bron is not able to tolerate higher volumes of feeding and nutritionally she is still very challenged and weak. On Friday Bron arrived at the emergency room on the request of the home care nurse that she has a port put in place and put on T.P.N. feeding. Bron and Max arrived at the emergency room to discover no one was available to do this procedure and an appointment was necessary. They are home now resting through the week-end waiting until the next procedure or plan of attack is reached. | nicoletta-ceccoli Bron following her passion of unique photography 15 months ago |
